Building Communities That Thrive.
CanopyEd provides professional development for teachers on how to design instruction to take advantage of the unique capabilities of virtual and blended learning. We help teachers understand that virtual learning can actually be more powerful than in-person instruction. We create customized asynchronous PD courses for partners and offer complementary synchronous training as well.
We also work with schools and districts to design more holistic strategies for harnessing the potential of virtual and blended learning.
Our work has ranged from trainings on virtual learning for teachers and administrators to intensive collaborations with alternative-certification providers to redesign their summer training institutes as a 100% virtual experience.
We also offer partners the potential to collaborate directly to co-create high-quality virtual learning experiences. These co-created courses are designed to amplify the voices of the most effective educators in a community. These co-created courses can focus on: professional development for educators, review courses for students from master teachers, or family-facing courses on navigating district resources and expectations.

“The development and dissemination of virtual PDs was a relatively new initiative within our district. CanopyEd was an integral part of the planning process and supported our team to ultimately develop innovative virtual courses that were meaningful and engaging for our teachers and leaders. The virtual PDs have been a valuable resource for teachers throughout the district and have allowed the district to begin to develop a library of engaging virtual PD sessions that align to district priorities.”
